SOMETIMES solving mobility issues needs a different solution to an existing problem that has been around for years.Manual wheelchairs have been used for over 30 years and when introduced gave mobility to many people who would otherwise be housebound.
If you are a carer and have to push someone in a wheelchair, it is very tiring and hard work, so at the end of a day you end up with an aching back and arms. Worst of all you’re exhausted.
The next solution to this problem was to bolt on a battery pack to help the carer, but it was only a part solution to the problem. Electric Mobility has taken the solution to the next stage. The WeGo powerchair is designed on a powered base that is steered by the carer allowing the power to take care of the strain. The padded seat offers better posture and comfort than a standard wheelchair sling fabric seat. So both the user and carer have a better experience when using the WeGo.
But the Rascal WeGo really comes into its own when it is time to transport it in the car. It dismantles into easy manageable parts for loading into the car and the battery pack can be charged off-board so you can leave the Rascal WeGo in the car boot ready for your next trip.We believe we have designed a new product that offers a different answer to an existing mobility problem.
