Please note: Roland Priestley Mobility can arrange delivery for you by courier at an extra cost. Pick up from our Hornsby warehouse is also available. We do not arrange on site installation. Installation is straight forward as the ramps are flat packed, the handrails need assembly and if you are purchasing a 2 section ramp the 2 main halfs need to be joined, the ramp needs to be secured to the floor. Assembly hardware is provided. Installation can be performed by any handyperson.

When considering a ramp please consider Australian Standards recommend:

  • When the overall height is no greater than 35 mm the max gradient is 1:8
  • When the overall height in total under 19 cm the max gradient is 1:10
  • When the overall height is greater than 19cm in total the max gradient is 1:14

Australian Standards apply to public buildings and are not compulsory for private properties, the standards are more complex than what is stated above, this information above gives you a very basic understanding. Australian Standards outline the minimum gradient requirements for ramps in public buildings. The Standards provide a guide and in some cases it may not be possible to provide a ramp that meets the guidelines. Roland Priestley Mobility does recommend you consult a Occupational Therapist when considering a ramp for your application.
